Voice to do list: eveon, an aair Labs product ("eveon", "we", "us", or "our"), provides a voice-first personal assistant for capturing tasks, recording and transcribing memos, and quickly messaging the people you reach most (the "Service"). Privacy is core to how eveon is built: most of the Service runs on your device, and the cloud is only used when intelligence or sync is needed. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service, including their disclaimers and limitations of liability.

1. Information We Collect

To provide the Service, we process the following data:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication identifiers, used to create and secure your account (handled through Firebase Authentication).
  • Task & Content Data: The content of your tasks, due dates, reminders, tags, notes, and project names. This is essential to the Service's core functionality.
  • Voice & Audio: When you tap the microphone, eveon listens and transcribes your speech. Audio recordings and on-device transcription are processed on your device and, by design, are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Memos: Long-form recordings (meetings, lectures, voice notes) and their transcripts. Audio and transcription stay on your device. Transcripts are only sent to the cloud when you explicitly request AI enrichment.
  • Contacts: If you grant permission, you can add up to six people to your messaging shortlist. We store the names and phone numbers you choose to add. eveon does not upload your entire address book.
  • Photos: If you grant permission, images you choose to attach to tasks.
  • Usage & Device Data: How you use the Service (features used, completed tasks), and device information (OS type and version) for reliability and analytics.
  • Sync Data (Pro Max): For users who enable cloud sync, encrypted task, contact, and memo data used to synchronize across devices.

2. What Stays on Your Device

By design, the following never leaves your phone unless you explicitly opt in to a cloud feature:

  • All audio recordings (voice capture and memos).
  • Speech-to-text transcription.
  • Your task list (for Free and Pro tier users).
  • Your six-contact list and their phone numbers.
  • Your memo transcripts.

3. What Leaves Your Device, and When

The cloud is used only when intelligence or sync is required:

  • Complex capture parsing & voice queries: When on-device parsing isn't confident, a small text payload (the transcript, and for queries a limited subset of relevant tasks) is sent to a third-party AI provider to interpret. It is processed to return a result and is not used to train models.
  • Memo AI enrichment: When you choose to extract action items, summaries, or speaker labels, the memo transcript is sent to the AI provider, the structured result is returned, and the payload is discarded.
  • Messaging: When you message a contact, eveon drafts the message in your own SMS / messaging app for you to send. If you opt in to "send as eveon," delivery may be handled by a third-party telephony provider.
  • Encrypted sync (Pro Max): Task and memo data is encrypted at rest in our database to enable multi-device sync and restore-on-new-device.

An on-screen indicator appears momentarily whenever a cloud call happens, so you can see when data leaves your device.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the Service: Capturing, organizing, syncing, and reminding you of tasks; recording and transcribing memos; drafting messages.
  • Intelligence: Parsing natural speech into structured tasks and enriching memos via AI.
  • Communication: Sending service updates, security alerts, push notifications, and support responses.
  • Improvement & Analytics: Understanding aggregate usage patterns (via PostHog and Mixpanel) to improve features. We do not train AI models on your content.
  • Security: Protecting your account from unauthorized access.

5. What We Never Do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data or content.
  • We do not train AI models on your data.
  • We do not retain your audio recordings on our servers because the audio never reaches them.
  • We do not read your task contents except to fulfill an explicit request you make.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service under confidentiality obligations, including: authentication (Firebase), AI processing (e.g., Google Gemini), analytics (PostHog, Mixpanel), subscription management (RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play Store), cloud hosting for sync, and, where you opt in, a telephony provider for "send as eveon" messaging. We may also disclose data if required by law or valid legal process.

7. Data Storage, Security, and Limitation of Liability

We use standard encryption (TLS/SSL) to protect data in transit, and cloud-synced data is encrypted at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service and provide your data at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any unauthorized access to, loss, or alteration of your data, and our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. Because most content is stored on your device, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups (e.g., via JSON export or Pro Max sync).

8. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Your Rights and Controls

  • Cloud toggle: Disable all cloud calls to run eveon as a local-only app (capture still works via the on-device fallback parser).
  • Export: Export all of your data as JSON at any time.
  • Delete: Delete your account and associated data, including one-tap deletion of cloud data for Pro Max users, and per-memo deletion of audio while keeping the transcript.
  • Correct: Update your profile and content at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

eveon is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice and update the "Last Updated" date above.
